Case Analysis of Copyright and Intellectual Property Considerations Facts In the above, case the employee Courtney is a young and ambitious who is working for the small software development company, which is specialized in health care. She wanted to progress and she took up a project related to the impact of Intellectual property considerations in various communities and in rural and remote areas where aboriginal community exists. Courtney paid attention on the use of technology to those communities and therefore she focused on the cultural image to avoid the distressing and offensive to their culture. After enough research, she came up with a new technology and which became very famous, and the company recognized Courtney contribution and she receive a employee award. But in meantime the manager of the company Michael took all the acknowledgement for the efforts of Courtney which should not be the case since she gave all her efforts in the company so that the company achieve excellence (Harcourt and Quennerstedt, 2014). Issues and discussion The ethical issues identified in this research are that the manager being the senior took all the credit of Courtney for which have given her dedication and hard work. This is against the honesty, integrity and professional ethics of the company. The ethical problems can be resolved by implication of the Australian code of ethics in the corporate culture (Kangasniemi, Pakkanen and Korhonen, 2015). Code of conduct to be followed The Australian professional conduct includes: Honesty: There should not be breach of trust in the professional arena; one should not take away the credit for the work of another employee. To be honest in ones own professional decision are important. Any doubtful and deceptive action of any of the employee may be not acceptable for professional conduct. Enhancing the quality of life: The development of ICT gas a great impact and is very beneficial. An ethical approach shall reduce the adverse effect of ICT, thereby promoting equal access and benefits for the members. The development of ICT has had a significant impact on our society and way of life. It promotes and protects the life of the health and safety of the people and it is attempt to increase the feelings of personal satisfaction, competence, and control of those affected by your work (Martinov-Bennie and Mladenovic, 2015). Professional Development: One should encourage the staffs and the employees to ensure hard work and knowledge, which is passed on in such a way that the recipients not only improve their own effectiveness in their present work but also become keen to advance their capabilities to take additional responsibilities.
